Homepage is in trash

Permalink 1 user found helpful
Hi,

I made my content ready for 1 language (dutch). Because the site is for Belgium i had to make the french and english content as well. So i found a youtube video:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XN4dLDq3EwQ...

I followed but the video is not made for the latest version of Concrete5.

Problem:
Trying to go back to the original pagetree, i accidently deleted the home page! The original tree is still there, but when i go to my site i get a 404 error Page not found.

Trying to solve with htacess, derectory page to another page. But it doesn't work.

Other solutions?

Tnx x 1000

Did you view the trash in the sitemap and tried to move the deleted page back? Also cleared the cache?

Don't know for sure if it's a solution

Hi Maarten

Thanks for your reply.

1. I found a work around using htaccess. That's something...

2. Yes that page is still in my trash. I'll do backup first before I move it back and replace home.

Keep you posted.
Tnx

Ok.
Did not work. :-(

I leave it like this. A good lesson not to follow everything on youtube!
I know what to do know with the next multilingual website.

Thanks

UPDATE
It works.

What did I do:
1. Move it from the trash and copy/replace homepage
2. Home still links to the trashfile in the page tree in settings but is correct under the page button? Weird.
3. The homepage is now blank: made some changes and added content..et voila!

Glad to hear that it works.

Link to trash dir could be a cache thing. Can't think of anything else.
