How to un alias?

I have a page under 'home' that i aliased into two folders, but the aliases wont respect the position i put them in ie they appear under page1 in each folder, i want then at the bottom of the stack but when ever i move them they just bounce back.

i tried to delete them but c5 tells me thats not allowed. one time on a differnet aliased page i had seen 'un-alias' but not this time.

i dont want to delete the master cos last time i did that it broke something in the database.

in dashboard/sitemap, i have the home page with two folders and 1 page below it

home-
|_folder1|
| |_page1
| |_alias.of.pageA
| |_page2
|
|
|_folder2|
| |_page1
| |_alias.of.pageA
| |_page2
|
|_pageA

I would like to move the alias below page2.
in sitemap i move it down and thats fine, BUT when i 'return to website' in my menu it is in the same location as before, I return to dashboard/sitemap and there it is back in its original position.

so ok accepting that it wont move i decide to delete the aliases and make a copy of pageA instead.

In sitemap i select alias.of.pageA
and i am offerd two choices 'visit' or 'delete' I choose delete, it asks me if i am sure , i confirm and now it says

'You are not allowed to delete this page'

I then try selecting the master page but i am only offered one choice 'visit'

so how do i get rid of the alias?
