Image upload issue

I have been trying to upload a jpeg or png file. When I upload a document I have no problem. When I upload a photo it shows the progress bar and does a small refresh screen but the photos or not in the list. I've tried multiple times. I looked on the forums and cannot find the same issue as I don't get an error of any sort.

Is the Upload Complete window (or any other window) showing up at the end?
What C5 version are you using?

I'm using 5.7.5.8, very new to Concrete5. A previous nonprofit volunteer set it up so I am in the learning process. I'm reducing the resolution now to see if that works

I'm not familiar with 5.7.x versions, only with 8.3.2 but I see that version 5.7.4 introduced the following feature "New uploading settings Dashboard page allows administrators to specify a maximum width, height and JPEG level for images uploaded to the file manager."

So, look for upload settings in dashboard and see if there are any constraints set.
