Large video file uploads

Hi There.

My sincere apologies if this is wrong forum but I didn't see an "Issues" forum..

anyways...I've uploaded a large mp4 video (400MB+) and is having issues when "importing" it via the file manager. I don't know what it's doing to the file other than moving it from the "incoming" folder to some nested folder structure and renaming it then recording it's info in the database but it's causing the process to timeout leaving with a msg "server has gone away".

Can someone (from concrete) pls advise if this cms simply isn't capable of dealing such large files or if there's some setting(s) to change or some workaround to have the file imported.

Much appreciated.

It could simply be a server resources issue, in which case increasing php resources for memory, execution time etc., may resolve it.

Otherwise, this is probably worth raising an issue on GitHub.

Have you tried optimising your videos?

I use:https://www.any-video-converter.com/...

Keeps pretty good quality and can reduce size by over 40% (for me anyway).

Hi, Adjusted the settings and I noticed the server "goes away" after 5 mins.

Pic attached.

Hi,
I've got the same problem but with files around 4MB or more... The upload starts but hangs around 3MB
(I've tried with different browser (Firefox, Chromium, Midori) under Linux)
An idea to fix this problem ?

Best regards
