lightbox in Version 8.5.2 not working?

CKEditor has the link function "lightbox". It works fine in v. 8.5.4 but not in version 8.5.2. Assets are loaded properly.
Am I missing something?

Make sure that there is an event for the lightbox triggered and that there are the proper assets loaded in your pagetheme.

8.5.2: For some strange reason there was still the image2 plugin installed and active, even after upgrading from version 8.5.1. Lightbox won't work with image2 plugin according to

I uninstalled image2 and everything is fine.
