mixing elemental and fruitful themes together.

Hi Everyone,

I'm new to concrete5. I sort of like it and want it to succeed, but it seems a little buggy. I'm hoping someone might be able to help shed some light on the following:

I'd like the fruitful hero featurette to function properly within the elemental theme.

for some reason, when I try and use the fruitful theme, I get errors trying to modify the design of areas as well as not being able to move things from area to area..

I also want the hero featurette background image to be aligned center bottom but it's not showing up when I modify the .css

Any ideas?
Thank you in advance.

Reg!

Hi regmedia,

To better answer your questions, you must be more specific.

Please include exact errors and what you did to trigger the error.

Also, include screenshots of what is going on and what you are trying to do.

Ok.. Thanks!

I had just uploaded the fruitful theme into the packages folder then installed it..
I'd like to use the elemental theme ( the fruitful one doesn't seem to let me move blocks when editing and the elemental has better portfolio display) so I'd like to mix them if possible.

This is hero featurette in the elemental theme (the forest photos)

you can see it is not displaying properly.. no arrows and not the right height, the text is not right.. like no .css is hooked up to it ..

as opposed to this.. in the fruitful theme

To cover the basics.

Have you disabled caching and cleared the cache?
Dashboard > System & Settings > Optimization > Cache & Speed Settings

"I also want the hero featurette background image to be aligned center bottom but it's not showing up when I modify the .css"

What method are you using to modify the CSS?

That's because all of the CSS for the slider is in the fruitful theme. You may want to copy the CSS from it and paste it to Elemental

Ok .. how would I go about doing that? I'm so sorry for my newbness. I am coming from a joomla background so I'm familiar with editing php and css .. I was using chrome inspector to see the css, modify and upload..

and Yes I turned off all the caching stuff :)

I see there's some js I'd need to include.. like swipe.js, just not sure where to add it.

Thanks again.
Reg!
