Newbie wonders how to upload original pics to Plain Yogurt to replace existing pics

Main question is this: on concrete5 , my /home/roygbiv/public_html/files/incoming says "empty". I do not know the URL of My Original Pics on my iPad and in my Dropbox. so how do I get my original pics to concrete5 (upload gives me 2 options: 1) /home/roygbiv etcetc EMPTY or 2) Enter URL of remote pic.
So it would be simple if I know the URL of my remote pic (where do I Find This?!?) OR If I know How to get my remote original pics to /home/roygbiv/public etc. etc.
Any useful wisdom will be most appreciated. And step by step info appreciated.
I'm actually having a blast on this site. it's quite fun indeed.

That "incoming" folder referenced by the File Manager is on your web server-- so to upload you'd typically use an FTP client to connect, go to (your site root)/files/incoming
