Ordinary Users should change their password

...but without access to Dashboard generally.

We've imported 500 Accounts. Concrete gave him per email a password but mostly very cryptic.

So the users want to have their own password!

How to do?

we'll be releasing the stuff we use for the profile/account area on this site as part of the core concrete5 package in the coming weeks. That would give you all of that and more.

Can you give us some clues on how we would get this working? We are working on a portal site for our company employees, but need the ability to have user change passwords and for passwords to expire.

Any progress made on this issue? If so, how do we allow users to change their own passwords?

What else do I have to do? I've enabled user profiles, but that didn't automatically put anything on the sitemap or the navigation. And there doesn't seem to be a block I can stick in for user profiles. My users aren't allowed to use the dashboard, but supposedly they can access their profiles without using the dashboard. A comprehensive response would be appreciated.

Thanks

This is odd. When a user goes to /login they will see at the bottom the "forget your password" link. This will email them a link to reset their password.

If you mean to edit their password while they are logged in the should go to /profile and click 'edit' on the left hand side. Scroll down to the bottom and change their password.

I'm curious if maybe you don't have user profiles enabled or something like that.

I've since gotten this one all figured out, and it's now working decently. I also found an add-on that will MAKE the users change their password, so i'll keep that feather in my hat for later.
Thanks!

Is there another addon out there other than Password Expiry? I can't get this to install in the current version and I also need passwords to expire.

What'd you use? Any help appreciated!

Thanks!
