Page Titles and Meta Descriptions not updating on front end

Hi,
We have taken over a clients site and I am trying to update the meta data (title and meta descriptions). So I login through the dashboard go to a page then edit -> properties -> Custom Attributes -> then I update the title and meta data
Save it
I then refresh my browser check on the front end and the changes have not taken place
When I look on the cms backend then the changes I have made is there.
Any help will be greatly appreciated

Thanks thats seems to do the trick.
For an easy update, have a look at my Magic Heading block. Once in place it will keep any of description, meta description, fb description, title and a heading in in sync with the page name and the first few words of the page content.
