Pagelist: Print content from block instead of page description

I think the title says it all, I don't want my customer to enter the content on a page and again in the page description with having to use paragraph tags (since page description doesn't recognize whitespace's).
I think the best for my page list would be if it automaticly prints the content from the Main block.
Is this in any way possible? If not, is it possible for Page Description to recognize breaks instead of <p></p> tags?

Thanks for that, the teasers addon worked fine.
The only problem that I ran into is that when you put truncate on it removes the paragraphs. I was building a page list with previews including those :)
But it works really well for for other page lists!
I might give magic heading a try in the future!

I built some templates for page list block in the past, but they don’t work in concrete5 5.7. Does anyone have an idea how I could show an excerpt of the blog articles or even the whole article instead of the descriptions?

A more general solution is my Magic Heading addon, that (amongst other things) automatically creates description text and metadata from the rendered page, so is not limited to regular content blocks. With Magic Heading automating the description, any page list that uses the description will then reflect whatever the page says.
