Problem with page lists--Call to a member function on a non-object

I keep running into "Call to a member function getAreaHandle() on a non-object in \concrete\blocks\page_list\controller.php"

Also my RSS feeds are also not working. I get a "Call to a member function getVersionID() on a non-object in /concrete/models/block.php on line 89"

Anybody have an idea what could be causing this?

Hmmm I was able to fix this by coming up with a modified controller.php file in the root/blocks/page_list section of my website.

But now I get a "Permission Denied: You don't have permission to access this RSS feed" error.

What could be causing this?

Again something wrong with my custom block templates. Hmmm need to sync up with the changes in the views with the latest updates to Concrete. It breaks some of my old custom block templates.
