remove footer

Im a new user to Concrete 5 and trying to get my head around it all but its a massive learning curve to say the least.

I want to be able to remove all the preset text across the bottom of the template is that possible

It depends on the template. If you are modifying someone else's template it is often best to make your own copy of it and move it into the /themes folder or into your own package, then modify it to meet your needs.
