Retina thumbnails

Hi folks

I see Concrete5 creates retina sized thumbnails, are retina thumbnails automatically served is the client has a high res screen or do we need to do something to use them?

If the image is served as a <picture> element using the core classes, it will include retina. Otherwise it will not.
