Slow webpage

I have a simple webpage (www.kossanlund.se) that takes very long time to load. Every page switch takes about 5 seconds. I have tested with caches on and off, and the page actually seemed faster when the caches where turned off.

I have read that it sometimes is a custom block problem, but I do not know how to debug it. There are no errors in the console.

When running the site on gtmetrix.com it complained about not optimized images and browser caching. Load time then for the 1.33 MB site was about 5 seconds.

Any tips for speeding up the load times?

I'm fairly new here and others may have more specific advice. The main thing that was slowing down my webpage was the images. I found it really useful to use page analysis tools such as the ones below. There are numerous other ones as well. They all give very specific advice about a variety of things.

Hi erkenfelt,

To rule out custom code causing a slowdown, you could create a second concrete5 install on the same server. In the second install, use the default Elemental theme and sample content.

If the default second install is also slow, then it might point to your server being the issue.
