Something preventing Edit Toolbar on Home Page, it shows on other pages, but logs out or kicks me if I try and put page into Edit mode

I am stumped. My client recently created a new product, didn't indicate a product page, AND added a slider link to the non-existent product page. I thought that was the issue so I recreated a proper product and product page and then found the slider instances in the database (at least I think I got them all), and deleted them as well. Still, the home page toolbar does NOT display.http://www.rockermanoftexas.com/... I don't see any explicit "errors" ... just a login warning which I can correct with an SSL and a warning, not error, regarding a Google API. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

OK... so I saw a ShareThis error and just opted to remove it altogether. That didn't change anything really. The only issue/warning that seems to appear in Dev Tools is a reference to a Google Maps API warning: NoApiKeys javascript error. I use the Locations Finder addon and have opened as support ticket there as well but something else is weird. I can access every page with a toolbar other than the homepag in Firefox but NOT Chrome. If I try to access anything other than the Dashboard in Chrome, which I CAN get to, it acts as if I never signed in. If I access another page in Firefox and sign in... all is well until I try to go to the home page and then it signs me off in essence.

I can access the edit toolbar on every page BUT the home page, can access all things like "Properties" etc but it simply disappears or appears to log me out if I try and put a page into edit mode. PLEASE... does anyone have any suggestions?

Hi,

not sure if this is the case, but most times if you have any HTML or Javascipt errors in yourpage, then the toolbar may not load properly.

When you log in, if you cannot see the toolbar, try going to yoursite.com/index.php/dashboard

(Simply enter the address manually in your browser)

There you should be able to see the c5 dashboard. Go the Sitemap, find the page you were editing (for instance, the Home page) and roll back to a previous working version. (You simply need to click on the page, approve a previous version of the page and delete the latest one).

If you were editing a Global Area, you'll need to click "Include System Pages in Sitemap", and under stacks find the area you were editing and roll back to a previous version. (If the issue happens on all pages, then maybe it's related to a Global Area).

I'd recommend making a backup of your website or trying this in your local server first.

Hope this helps,

Jordi

Thanks Jordi... But none of that is an option. This is a client site I haven't touched in quite some time and they have cleared versions from what I can see. This was something they did and the backup from a month ago expired a couple days ago. I'm going to have to do this the hard way and those are the suggestions I need. Thanks for the help though.
