Spam attack even with captcha activated?

Hi everyone,
The contact form on my client's website is getting spam emails constantly coming every hour and we put a captcha on the contact form but it doesn't stop. What do we need to do to stop this? How can I block the IP? or will the IP keep changing. The email constantly changes and keeps flooding my clients email.

I have a client with the same issue. Good luck getting support from the developer. I've submitted several support tickets for data sorting by date and got crickets.

to get around the problem. It's crude, inflexible and restrictive, but works in my contexts.
The problem with Captchas, etc, is that they're ineffective against sweatshops (captcha farms).
