Strange Formatting Problem with Layouts

I am experiencing a strange problem when working with layouts, basically the formatting of my layout seems to break as soon as I "log out" of the site.
Basically, I log into my site, visit the page I want to edit, click edit page and then add a simple 2 column layout, in the left column I add a single image block and in the right a single content block with a few lines of text. When I exit edit mode everything looks exactly as I intended. However (and this is the strange part) as soon as I log out of the site the layout breaks and the text pops beneath the image instead of staying to the right of it.
Does anyone know what night cause this and how to fix it? I've attached some images which will hopefully help explain what I mean.

I'd say reducung the width or padding by about 5px should stop that from happening. If you can provide a URL, I can look at the HTML and CSS for you and check it in different browsers.
I did try removing all of the margins and padding I had set and it didn't make a difference, I tried deleting and starting over as well with a fresh layout but that didn't help either, I also verified that the problem happens both in Safari and FireFox but have not tested any other browsers yet.
Normally I would have no problem posting a link to the site but in this case it is a password protected intranet site. I will play with it some more and if I can't figure it out I'll see if I can recreate the problem on a page on our public site and post a link to that.

You could always PM me a temp password and username with the link if you think I might help, that way it keeps the private access out of the public domain.
Oh, that I could definitely do, I am getting ready to pack up for today and I have already reverted back to an older version of the page for now. I will play with this a bit more tomorrow and if I can't figure it out I'll create a logon for you and send you the info.

Hi. I`m having a lot of the same problems with one of my sites. Did you figure out what the problem/solution was??
Honestly no, I never did figure out exactly what was causing this, it is only on one of my sites so I assume it has something to do with the template I made. The problem was minor enough that I just worked around it rather than digging any deeper. I may go back and look at it again one of these days.
