Styling the Auto Nav CSS: li class="first"

Would someone be so kind as to tell me where to change the css for this before I pull out every hair on my head? It's the last thing I need to style in my custom autonav template and I CANNOT figure out where/how to do it nor what to change in the php that I copied from header.php.

you would change this in your theme's "main.css" which, depending on what theme you are using, is located in the /themes/THE_NAME_OF_YOUR_THEME/ folder. The name of the file you need to look for would be noted in your themes header.php
