unable to edit the page

when i click the edit page button, getting the edit page section, but i am unable to change the text or section

Try reloading the page.. or clear cache?

maybe post a link to the page you are trying to edit?
the best would be to install a temporary account so that we can try it out.

Have you checked your editable areas divs z-indexes? They should be all below 10. Or even delete them.

I have found the same problem. I cannot even see the "Edit" button in upper left corner when using Safari or Chrome. I can see the "Edit" button ONLY when using FireFox. After selecting "Edit this page", the block highlights, but am unable to get a menu to see the floating edit window.

I had a similar problem when I had updated to 5.6.0.1. I could click on the edit button and nothing would happen after that.

If this is similar to the issue that you are experiencing, it was resolved for me in 5.6.0.2.
