Unpublish, or show between two dates

To 'hide' a page while I work on it, I've been using the permissions and have a group setup for viewbeta users.

Is there an option which I'm not seeing to publish a page on a particular date, and to have it disappear after another date?

I see the public date/time, but is there a 'closing' date? I was digging through the db, and there appears that perhaps there is, but I wasn't sure if I was digging on the right table.

if you turn on advanced permissions, you can do this for specific groups.

I'd test it before I took it to the bank, its been a while since we looked at that - but yes, it can do timed page releases...

Why not add a second date field like requests here:http://www.concrete5.org/community/features/end_date...

There's already a start date, an end date next to it would be pretty neat and well placed, no?

An end date for webpages is needed...
And a field to tell it where to archive at the end...

Cheers!

Would also be nice to have the Start/End concept on Content Blocks too so that an entire page doesn't have to expire, only a particular block does. Especially useful if a site does a lot of Event Announcements.

Would be good to have individual blocks expire rather than the whole page.

Also, when a page expires is there a neat way of specifying an alternative/redirected page (eg, homepage) instead of prompting the visitor to log in?

Cheers.

nah right now we have start and end times for specific groups or users at a page level.

please go ahead and add block level timed releases as a feature request - its not really on our priority radar at the moment.

be a simple enhancement to the existing block. Maybe call it an Announcement Block. ;-)
