Using Artisteer for Building Theme (Template)

I use Artisteer and would like build a theme for Concrete5 with it. Artisteer will build themes/templates for Drupal, Joomla, WordPress, but not Concrete5. (There is an 'export HTML' function.)

Does anyone know how one would use Artisteer with Concrete5?

Can anyone here convert an Artisteer template to Concrete5 (for a fee)?

Can you get me information about the format in which I export it; that is, create and then export as HTML (or use one of the other CMS's as the point from which to start)?

Are you willing to share your knowledge of converting from Artisteer?

Specifically I am wondering how to incorporate Artisteer handling of IE 7 and older browsers breaking the CSS. There is a javascript file and css files incorporated into the Artisteer export, but they don't seem to play well with Concrete5.

Thanks,
Josh

I have to say that I hate Artisteer. It takes me back to the days when Dreamweaver used to created bad HTML.

I know first hand that Artisteer does the same thing for Joomla, Drupal, and WordPress.

Currently I use DW CS4 but I pretty much hand code all my HTML.

Artisteer writes in too much unnecessary code. Follows it's own standard. I have been asked some many times to rebuild a template built by Artisteer to work with every browser.

Software like Artisteer, not to insult anyone here, makes people think that using it make them a website designer.

That is just my two cents. I say learn the code. It's not that hard and it gets to be fun.

Agree with lostsoul; I looked at Artisteer a while back, it's clever but the HTML output is ugly. I didn't think too much of the site designs either, but perhaps they are improved now.

Where Artisteer excels is for CMS systems that are "really" complex to theme (and package those themes just to get them into your own site). Drupal & DNN spring to mind, but C5 is so much simpler to theme, Artisteer brings nothing to the table (IMO).

I also say learn the code. You'll be amazed how easy it is, and if you start from a standards compliant template you'll get good output, and a much better looking site that the templates Artisteer comes with.

"Great community spirit m8!" What?

'What is the person who can convert? The price? 'Just because I thought writing was written.

That it is not free 'greedy' if called,
Want to say from looking at past activities.

Yeah $50 is an absolute steal. You will not find a better deal and get any kind of quality. What is it with people who think everyone have all the time in the world to just give everything away for free.

It is possible to create plug-in for export from Artisteer to Concrete5 with "Artisteer Plug-ins Development" (http://www.artisteer.com/?p=dev)
