What the Hell is 'Invalid Token'?

When I try to post a reply all I get is:- "Invalid Token", does that mean I can only post and reply a limited amout?

To prevent spam-bots, c5 attaches an encrypted token to forms (such as posting to this forum), the token is then validated on form submission. It has a time-limited lifespan, so if you take a long time to compose a reply the token may have already timed out and you get 'Invalid Token'. The lifespan of the token can be a little short when writing a detailed post.

The way to get round it is to make a copy of your post before submitting. If you get Invalid Token you can the refresh the page, paste in the copy of your text and post again.

That doesn't work, I've tried it, I even tried clearing cookies and all browser data, and it still don't work,,, which means I have to create a new account and also in the Concrete5 DB config section I completely deleted the data for the market place tokens and other related data for the marketplace security, so now my Concrete5 asks to connect to the community which I'm not going to precisely because of the token errors which should be either removed or fixed.

Now my previous account says 'User inactive......'

I suspect your strategy has been overly aggressive.

My comment above related to forum posts and forms generally, not marketplace integration.

Underlying mechanisms with marketplace integration are similar, but rely on a longer term token being provided to the integrating site in response to the login/password you provide within the site dashboard.

With marketplace integration problems, you certainly shouldn't create a new c5.org account because any marketplace packages are licensed to your old account. Best thing with marketplace integration issues is to ask Franz.

OK, Now I'm livid,,,,,I just had to create yet another account, because when I tried to post a reply, I get sent back to the sign in page with 'User Inactive...'

Sooo, I guess it's time to dump using Concrete5 and try something else.
