Where is form data stored?

Hi
I have built a form and I am wondering if the submitted data is written to the data base or simply sent off in an email?

If it is not stored I am after a solution that will store the data to the DB and allow access and sorting of this data.

Any help appreciated.

it is stored in the db,

Dashboard->Reports is where you can easily see the data

What if the reports are empty? Is it possible to find the data submitted?
(The email notification was off on the form i used)
