Unfortunately even the smallest edit of any file clears the cache completely!

Permalink Browser Info Environment
No matter which theme template file is edited, even CSS files - this add-on always clears the whole cache completely! Which means, that also all cached thumbnails are lost and have to be re-generated again (for instance by gallery add-ons).

I have a site with a large number of galleries, each of them containing many images - so it's a real pain to re-open each of them manually in order to get the thumbnails generated again after each edit of a theme file by Apex Editor. Otherwise browsing the galleries would result in a very bad user experience, since it takes ages to load a gallery page without cached thumbnails.

Everyone should be warned, that at the current state of this add-on there is only one button for saving AND clearing the cache (completely - even when the edited template file is not used anywhere on the site!).

A solution would be, to have two buttons, one for saving and another for clearing the cache. Or a way to clear the cache selectively, for instance by keeping cached thumbnails!

So this add-on is unusable for me, because i cannot even edit a CSS file without loosing all cached thumbnails. I'm going back to my locally installed editor connected to the files in application/themes/mytheme by FTP.

Thank you for the Bug Report Okapi.
We are currently looking into a better solution to deal with this caching issue. Taking into consideration your suggestion - it would be preferable to clear a cache selectively, though this may take slightly a bit more time to code than a simply creating 2 buttons.

- We may release a minor update with include 2 buttons separate to better accommodate users until we can work out a fail-safe a reliable way to implement selective caching.

Please allow us time to resolve this issue, thank you for your patience.
