Backstretch won't work on home page

This add-on is just awesome – it has worked perfectly on one of my sites so far. Now, when I'm trying to use the add-on on my other site, I can't get it working on my home page. The background images are shown well on every other subpages, and actually in edit mode on home page too. However, the home page's background isn't visible when I publish my edits. I'm using Metris theme.

Do you have a link where I can look at it? I'm guessing that it's either a javascript error that happens from something else on the page when not in edit mode, or a css issue where a div with an opaque background covers the whole page so that backstretch shows up under it.
Also, could you actually place this as a support request? It's not really a question about how the addon works...
