What am I missing?

Permalink Browser Info Environment
Hi - total neophyte here (but learning). Just added Backstretch to my Metris theme, but the photograph just sits in the upper left hand corner. Is there something I need to do besides go into the page properties and add the photograph? Does the backstretch jump in automatically or is there another option I need to choose?

Thank you for your help,

Beachgirl

It should just work automatically. Though if there's another javascript error on the page, or something really funky with the css on your page, then it could maybe not work?

Do you have a URL to the page where it's happening? You can PM me if you don't want it public.

Thanks for getting back to me so quickly.

My site is:http://pjbraley.com/

The jpeg file I am using says it is 34KB...is that just too small to stretch?

Thank you very much,

Hrm, I don't even show it as being used on the page, the javascript is not loaded, and there is no image at all...

Is it an unapproved page version or something? If so, maybe you could PM me login details so I could see that version?

Another thing that you can try is to change the theme to something different and see if it works then. If so, it is probably a conflict with the theme.

I still don't see any of the code to initialize backstretch that should be loaded. It looks like the image is just set as the background of the body tag?

In order to use this, you need to actually add a backstretch block to the page. It lets you pick an image from the file manager that will be stretched over the page underneath everything else. It seems like maybe that's the step that's not happening?

That is absolutely what I am missing! Thank you.

Um, how do I do that?

Thank you,

Um, take the page into edit mode, click on an area and choose 'add block' then find the backstretch block... It's kind of the fundamental thing that you do when editing concrete5 pages...
