Hi,
Wondering if you could look into making the blocks more accessible in future? For example when using an Image block, prompt the user to add alt text, and so on. This will help users using adaptive and assistive technology.
This website outlines the principles of WCAG 2.0 nicely and explains how to achieve a AA rating:https://www.w3.org/WAI/WCAG20/quickref/...
Thanks,
Choppie

Hi Ramon,
The title tag is not read aloud by screen readers. One needs to specifically add an alt tag. There are also things to keep in mind when using textboxes, buttons and other form controls when considering accessibility, not to mention video transcripts, etc.
I suppose I can try and change the code for the blocks to prompt the user to add additional information when using the block. Didn't really want to fiddle around with the add-on code so it's easy to upgrade etc.
None the less, good job on this add-on. It's very useful when wanting clients to input specific info on pages and reduces the risk of them breaking pages. I intend to use it on most websites I work on going forward.
Cheers,
Choppie

Hi Choppie,
Not sure what you mean with "The title tag is not read aloud by screen readers.". Do you mean something in the backend block designer form, or the title of a field/label within a block (type) or title of output for the viewer of the website? If you know how to make changes, or give examples for me, I can then introduce these in an update. For now, it's not really clear to me where the Add-On needs updates. I'm happy to make it more accessible for those in need of. Giving some examples, either by code, screenshots or video, will me help understand the "problem" you're facing!
Kind regards,
Ramon

Alt text can be entered by adding a title to the image. This can be done within the file manager. This should be "Basic concrete5 knowledge". Or what do you think? Do you want an extra field maybe or something or...?
Kind regards,
Ramon
