Feature request: support of font-awesome? :-)

Permalink Browser Info Environment
It would be nice to be able to incorporate font-awesome as a field to the package, like in the core feature package? maybe expanding it with the option of different colors? :-)

Hi there,

Have it on the to-do list, but that will most likely be for an/the "pro" version of block designer!

Kind regards,

Ramon

hmmm... don't like the thought of that unless you are going to do the basic version free of charge.. Your block designer is already priced fairly high compared to other packages such as Pro Blog... I hope you will consider that thought, so that we can keep the open source spirit for basic versions of the add ons and only charge pro versions.

I implemented Font Awesome in a slightly laborious fashion by simply providing a text field for the FA icon name, and edited my form.php to provide instructions and a link to the FA reference.

I was trying to build a select list where I could list icon codes with the actual icon appearing, but never got that working, I couldn't pass the html through in the select list options.

Screenshot attached... hope this helps, though I'm sure that if my little brain thought of it, everyone else is probably 5 steps ahead of me.... d'oh! ; )

On the other hand, as FA evolves, all I have to do is point the CSS link to a new version, I won't have to update any select lists.

Font Awesome field type is available in the Pro version of Block Designer. As there has been a lot of development lately, and will be a lot of more development, I can not be making everything for free. Hope you do understand. The Pro version will also have more field types as time goes, depending on the requests and if I'm able to build it or not. So if you have a request, you could also request before buying, and I will let you know when it's ready for example so you can buy it upon completion.

Kind regards,

Ramon
