After editing a block that is shown by Blocks by Ajax, or assigning a Blocks by AJAX template, the C5 block cache may contain the rendered block rather than the Blocks by AJAX script.

This can be resolved by clearing the Concrete5 cache:
dashboard/system/optimization/clear_cache/
