Fatal error on install (5.6.1) - tony_books addon

Permalink Browser Info Environment
Hello,

I am getting this on a 5.6.1 install:

Fatal error: require_once() [function.require]: Failed opening required '/.../concrete/blocks/tony_books/controller.php' (include_path='...') in /.../concrete/core/models/block_types.php on line 826

The Books package gets installed, but there is no Books block available. Haven't seen this error before, so hopefully can point me in the right direction on how to fix.

Thanks,

John

I just tried this on concrete5.6.1.2 and it installed fine. It looks like your installation is trying to look for that block controller in the wrong location, within the concrete core blocks folder rather than within the packages directory. You didn't copy any of the file outside of the /packages/ folder did you? If so that might cause problems. Otherwise the best I can recommend here is a complete uninstall, clearing your concrete5 core cache, and then a reinstall. Otherwise you can try a hacky solution of copying all of the block files to the core /concrete/blocks/ directory too where it's looking for that just to get the error to go away.

Thanks for the reply Tony. I have no idea what the problem was (pretty straight-forward 5.6.1 site with only a couple of packages installed). BTW, I had no cache whatsoever and it was a straight unzip into the /packages directory.

I upgraded to 5.6.1.2 and it's working just fine - although it won't find Remo's new book Creating Concrete5 Themes :)

Thanks again,

John

I can also confirm this being a problem that existed in 5.6.1 and is solved in 5.6.1.2.

Glad to hear I wasn't going out of my mind (at least on this issue :)

I've installed (and built) a few packages, and this was a new one on me.

I had installed this on an earlier version (5.4-5.5ish) without a problem, but it has been a while.
