Custom colours and shapes will not work
Permalink Browser Info Environment
Hi there, the custom button feature will not work, when I try to create a new theme, the button will stay in it's default style when i apply my custom colour and custom shape. I have saved the colour and shape and have updated the CSS but it will not change. If I use the presets it changes fine.

Hi there thanks for the quick reply, i tried adding a couple of custom colours named
test
blello
weird
All lowercase without any spaces or other symbols.
In answer to your second question, it happens for both, the button just stays grey in the preview and when I check on the site page. However the preset colours work fine on both.

Also, that could be due to your browser caching the first CSS file and still using it even after you generated the new one. In that case, in Chrome and Firefox, if you reload using ctrl+F5 it refreshes the file when reloading. That might solve the problem.
Thanks, I have cleared the cache and have been developing without caching enabled. To clarify, when I change the colour under the colour schemes window it changes the colours in the preview. When I try to load my saved colour scheme in the Themes option it will not change the default (Grey) style.
Ok I was working in Safari and that in Firefox it works. is this a Safari compatibility issue or just Safari catching up to the changes?
I never tried it in Safari but it's really just simple jquery add/remove class so Safari shouldn't have a problem.
With what you are describing, I am again inclined to blame the cache.
But to be clear, I didn't mean Concrete5's cache, I meant the browser's cache.
One thing you can do is create a new color in Firefox and check if you have the same problem in Firefox with that new color. If yes then it's definitely a browser's cache problem and you need to empty it.
Again, in Chrome and Firefox, reloading the page with ctrl+F5 refreshes the CSS in the browser's cache but I'm not sure about Safari.

I figured out how to clear Safari cache completely and it worked. Thanks heaps. All is showing as it should.
Good to hear.

I am not sure I understand.
You have created a custom color set and a custom shape. You have then re-generated the CSS file.
When you try to create a theme, on the dashboard theme's page, if you select one of the preset colors or shapes it works but if you select your custom color or shape it doesn't work?
Is that correct?
If yes then I have a few questions:
1- What name did you give your color and shape
2- when you say the button will stay in its default style, do you mean on the dashboard theme's page when creating the theme (so the sample button) or do you mean afterward when adding a button to a page using the block?
Thank you.
