If the site cache has just been emptied, such as by Cache Vac, loading one or more key pages can pre-fill the cache so that future visitors get a faster response.

If you are using full grown up cron, you can fill pages using wget and do not need this job (unless you really want to use it). However, if you are using another method to run jobs such as FlexJob Scheduler, Cache Filler provides a way to load any page.

The Cache Filler job will by default load a site's home page. For more pages, a configuration parameter can be used to list pages by ID or path. See the documentation for more details.
