What does it do?
With the Clear Page Cache add-on you can clear the cache per page. It will flush the cache for the last collection version and will reindex it. The add-on is based on 'Page Search' so it is still possible to search for pages based on various criteria, e.g. the page type.
Why wouldn't you use the C5 clear cache?
That will remove all cache entries. When building large sites, you often don't want to flush the whole cache.
Could you give an example when you want to use it?
- You have a site with a large amount of pages or a large amount of images;
- You have made a change in the code, e.g. something in the template for news pages;
- You want to flush the cache for only the pages with a certain page type.
