Exclude Clicky from Certain Pages?

Permalink Browser Info Environment
Hi! First, thanks for a REALLY great add-on! It was very easy to install, and I'm LOVING the new statistics and tracking information!

One question, though... Is it possible to prevent Clicky from tracking a particular page on a site? I have a "test" page that I do alot of mucking around with while I'm developing my site, and right now I'm getting "hits" on that page that mess up my stats on Clicky. I'd like to keep the add-on from sending my clicks for that particular page.

Since the tracking code goes in the Sitewide Settings, I have a sinking feeling that this isn't going to be easy, right? If it can't be done somehow in C5, do you know if it's possible to do it in Clicky (i.e. tell Clicky to ignore incoming clicks for that page?)

Thanks, so much for your help! Again, it's a REALLY great add-on and I'm lovin' it even though there's this one little problem!

Regards,

Chris

I found the answer myself, so I'm posting it here in case anyone else needs the info.

It's possible in Clicky to create filters based on IP addresses, and also to set a cookie in your browser to ignore your own traffic. Here's how to do it:

1. Click on the "Preferences" link on the Clicky Dashboard.

2. Click on the "Visitor Tags & Filters" link.

3. Follow the instructions. The "cookie" option is at the bottom of the page.

Of course, if you use multiple browsers you'll have to set a cookie on each one of them. A bit of a chore, but you only have to do it once. Also, if you have multiple sites you'll have to do this for each one of them as it appears to be site specific.

Hope that helps...

Regards,

Chris
