Just a suggestion

Permalink Browser Info Environment
This add-on works nicely and is highly configureable.

I have just one suggestion: it would be nice, if the button text could also be defined in the backend.

Thank you,
Michael

I there a way to override the default button text with a custom one?

All the strings can be translated, but I'm not sure that is what you are asking?

Also all the strings can be found and changed in this file if translation is not what you need.

/controllers/cookiesDisclosure.php

If this does not cover it please reply and will attempt to help further.

Thank you for your quick reply.
Do you mean, the file cookiesDisclosure.php in the add-on package has to be edited directly in order to change the text of the button? Is there no way to do this by overriding it?

Actually i have to translate it, because it's a site in german (currently not multilingual, but maybe it's an option for the future). At the moment, this is no problem for the disclosure text, which can be edited in the dashboard. But everything else (button text, messages text) of course have to be in German too. Unfortunately i have no idea how to translate text strings of add-ons.

My suggestion was an additional field in the form to be able to edit the text of the agree button. But what about the text of messages? And how would i translate the disclosure text for a multilingual site?

Thank you,
Michael

That's right. It's a string in that file, but it is fully translatable. If you need to change the english version to something else, just edit in that file. There's no override, or dashboard panel setting to change it.

If you need assistance re language translations you'll need to check out the concrete5.org forums. We have no direct experience we can bring to bear here, we only ensure that the package strings are fully translateable in order to get a package accepted into the concrete5 marketplace.
