Annoying href dead link

Permalink Browser Info Environment
I use Cycle heavily on my website, and am happy with it, but I 've just figured out that it generates 404 errors due to a href {{link}} in the code :

data-cycle-overlay-template='<div class="cycle-caption" style="z-index:30">{{h2link}}<h4>{{desc}}</h4><a class="btn btn-default {{hiddenclass}}" href="{{link}}">{{buttontext}}</a></div>'

Could you tell me if there's one way to avoid it ?

Thank you.

I think that it's maybe the empty anchor tag that's causing the issue. It's probably only robots that are causing this since the button etc should not be showing if there is no link.

The simplest thing seems to be to set the URL to # if there is no link. Version 1.0.2 now does this.
