I've checked the add-on and have the sorting and striping working. I had to clear the concrete5 cache on the demo site. I'd suggest you turn off cache and clear the cache to see if this helps.
In terms of the modal window incorrectly sizing - I'll look in to this further as it is not obvious at this stage why it occurs.
