Adding block: failed to open stream: Permission denied

When I try to add the gallery block and try to save it, I get the following error:
imagepng(/home/webtherape/domains/websitevoortherapeuten.nl/public_html/packages/easy_image_gallery/blocks/easy_image_gallery/images/placeholders/placeholder-380-295.png): failed to open stream: Permission denied
I already gave the directory all reading and writing rights, so can't be a real permission problem, right?
