Map isn't displaying

Permalink Browser Info Environment
Not sure if I am missing something here, but when I add the map block into my editable area and add a location, it doesn't display the Google map or points I added.

In preview mode it shows the grey box and border when applied but no map content. In edit mode it displays the Extended GoogleMap Placeholder box. I have tried disabling the sidebar and Sidebar.

I have tried using both Latitude/Longitude coordinates and street addresses, neither of which displayed any map or location data. I also made sure to publish the page in hopes it would help the interaction with the Google server.

No luck yet, any help would be appreciated.

As a secondary minor issue, sometimes the add-on bugs out and shows two copies of the block stacked on top of each other even though I only added 1. But I cannot delete the extra one because it is represented as one block. Anyone else experience that?

Hi,

This is very strange... I've never had this problem.
It sounds like a javascript error. Could you post the url to see if it is?

Best,

Corretje

It very well could be a code error on my part, but as far as I know, other map plugins are working on the same page type. Let me know if you notice anything , thanks a lot

I am having the same issue. Has this been resolved? I am using the latest version of the add-on and have not had this issue before.

Thanks

My developer discovered that this was a js Error because of some missing script. Try his suggestion below:

For reference, I had to adjust /packages/extended_google_map/models/simpleGMapAPI.php

On line 1110, I changed it from:
if ( $this->enableStyledMap )
to:
if ( $this->enableStyledMap && $this->styledMapContent )

Hope this works, my map is working great.

Problem solved after following the instructions from previous post.
Thank you very much maccahutch!

I appreciate you taking the time to share your knowledge.

Maybe the developer should be alerted as well to implement this revised code.

Hi,

Just checked.... You'll need version 3.0.8.
But it's not available for downloading yet... ;-) I'll post the new files a.s.a.p.

Best,

Corretje
