Suggested feature - List Locations for Saved zoom extent and locations

Permalink Browser Info Environment
I would like to be able to set a few zoom location and extent zones as listed items, like addresses but separate. So we could have a listed item for states for instance, and zoom to Victoria, New South Wales etc (Australia). So it would work like show all does, but we could set as many custom ones as we like.

On that note, show all needs the option to be at the top or bottom of the list. I had our developer move it to the top.

Hi,

Thank you for your feedback. Can you show me an example of such a map?

Best,

I can show you the site where the function would be useful.

http://www.bioisland.com.au/retailers/...
The client is getting a lot more retail locations, so when zoomed to show all it is quite a low zoom factor and they mostly sit on top of each other.

So I have set the default zoom and area to be Sydney, where most of the locations are.

They asked me if we could have links on the left that would zoom to each state, e.g. New South Wales, Western Australia etc. So if the visitor was from that state they could click a link and see a zoom to their state in one click.

So we would need to be able to add extra locations in exactly the same way you currently allow setting the default zoom. Favourite views if you like. Hope that makes sense.

It would be useful if the favourites in the list (like show all) could have a different ul and class so we could maybe put a line under them to show separation of favourite views from actual locations.

Aha! I see what you mean...
I should create another tab with "view". The views should be loaded in the sidebar. It's a good idea...

I can add this to the addon, but it would take me some time...

Hello - can you advise if you ever made this change to the add-on?

Now, it is still on the TODO list.
