How to you change the size to get it fitting into your design?

HI There,
I have this plugin installed and it all seems to be working, now I just need to modify things so it will fit into the site.
I've changed all the css to suit but now just need to get the main image resizing properly.
Where are the controls located to do this? My new width on the main image is: 710px.
Also, will it just crop the the image or do I need to worry about the heaight as well?
Any help would be much appreciated.
