Sort order of thumbnails?

Permalink Browser Info Environment
It seems that the sort order of thumbnails on a Fluid Gallery block does not reflect the sort order of thumbnails defined in the selected file set. Thumbnails of a Fluid Gallery block actually seem to have no order at all by default. Is this a known issue?

Of course it's possible to rearrange thumbnails by drag & drop inside the block, but this is no option for large galleries.

Thank you,
Michael

Hi Steev,

while Fluid Gallery works nicely with Concrete5 8.2, i'm still having a problem with the sort order of thumbnails. Actually i don't see any order at all, it seems that thumbnails are sorted randomly when a file set is chosen, and the only way of sorting is manually by drag and drop. On larger galleries this is a laborious task. Ideally, i think, the sort order of thumbnails of a gallery should reflect the order of the file set by default, with the additional option to set a custom sort order in the form of the add-on by drag and drop.
Another option could be, to implement a setting for the sort order in bulk (by file name or by title) via the form of the add-on - but i don't know if this can be done with conrete5 tools.

Actually any option to sort all thumbnails at once (by name or title) would be very appreciated for larger galleries.

Thank you,
Michael

I understand if you are waiting for @mlocati's thumbnail fixes at GitHub, hopefully finding their way into C5 8.3.
