Unable to add elements to the form

Permalink Browser Info Environment
We are having issues creating forms. At the layout and elements stage we are able to choose "Add element" form the menu but the blue progress bar fills the top of the screen and the process just hangs. We have tried uninstalling the package completely as we previously had the lite version and thought there may be some conflict there but we are still getting the same issue.

Hi!

I guess that is a common issue of C5. Please look for "symphony error" in the forum.

Thank you for your swift response.

I was able to find a forum thread title 8.3.1 Symphony Error which seemed to identify an out of date version of symfony as the issue. As I was not entirely comfortable messing with Core files on a live site and the issue had been identified and fixed I proceeded to update the site to version 8.4. This has not rectified the issue and I am still not sure how I can go about diagnosing where the issue is as there is no error as such just the blue spinner continually whirring?

I did check the logs to see if there were any issues flagged there and there seems to be an Exception where GDPR is concerned. I have disabled GDPR option in my test form but I seem to get the following error in logs:

Good call! Updating to 8.4 is always the best.
Please update Formidable also. Then the issue will be fixed.
