Updating to 2.6.4.1 and then to 2.6.5 breaks form submissions

In order to try to help fix the PHP error being thrown in my other support ticket (https://www.concrete5.org/marketplace/addons/formify/support/print-friendly-records/), I updated Formify to the latest version, which at the time a couple of days ago was version 2.6.4.1. Immediately after this update, none of my forms would submit, displaying an error 
"There was an error submitting this form. Please contact the administrator of this site."


After spending a day troubleshooting that problem (I referenced this support tickethttps://www.concrete5.org/marketplace/addons/formify/support/i-keep-... as well as did my own research), I noticed yet another version of Formify was available, version 2.6.5. I updated to 2.6.5, and immediately after updating to that version, I still can't submit any forms, but the error message displayed is now 
"You do not have access to submit this form."
. Of course, I have checked permissions on the forms, and permissions are set in Formify correctly.

These forms were being submitted properly before the update to 2.6.4.1.

Any ideas?

Hi,
Have you got any express forms active on your web site? Can you get the formify to work if you are logged in as administrator?

Yes I have built several custom controllers that utilize Express objects. How might that be related to Formify?

And logging in as an administrator does not change the outcome.

I ended up rolling back the site from backup. So now I'm back to Formify 2.6.2.2 and everything is fine.

There are other support requests in other aspects of c5 that seem to indicate that the permissions on xpress objects can interfere more globally.

dashboard/system/express/entries then check any forms and go to edit permissions making sure guest is enabled.

Also the "Limit to one record per user" will make this same message appear in formify.
