Formigo Directions is straightforward to use, simply configure these options in the add-on's add/edit options.

Location

API Key. Your Google Maps v3.0 API key. You can get one here free.

Your Location. Key an address, zipcode/postcode or a locaiity or even coordinates. Google's Maps API shouid be able to determine where you are.

Zipcode Label.  Does your country use zipcodes or postcodes? Choose which term you wish to use on the directions popup (infowindow).

Map/Directions Units. Does your country use miles or km. If you have a preference set it here and the directions output will be in these units.

Default Zoom. Set the default scale for your map when it loads.

Offer Traffic Information. Google can provide a traffic layer for some countries. Find out about coverage here.

Offer Transit Information. Google can provide a transit layer for major cities showing public transport links. Find out more here.

Dimensions

Height. Height in px for your map.

Width. Width in px for your map.

Map Alignment.  If you use the map in an area which is wider than the dimensions you wish to set on the map, select how you would like to align the map here. Options are Left, Right, or Center.

Enable 'responsive' rendering.  If this option is selected. The width of your map will take on the maximum width of the area it sits in, and the map will rerender depending on viewport size, using the height and width settings to determine relative dimensions only. This enables Formigo Directions to work in responsive themes, rather than break them. Infowindow prompts are also tailored dependent on viewport size and map recenters on viewport size change.

Map Options

The standard Google Maps V3 API controls are available:-

  • Show 'Zoom' Control
  • Show 'Pan' Control
  • Show 'Scale' Control
  • Show 'Map Type' Control
  • Show 'Street View' Control
  • Show 'Overview Map' Control


Marker Options

Custom Map Marker. Choose a custom image for your marker, this can be one of those supplied, or one of your own.  Any image in the Concrete5 File Manager is available.

X-Offset. Fine tune the position of your marker, left or right.

Y-Offset. Fine tune the position of your marker, up or down.

Use Google's default marker.  You don't need to use a custom marker. Checking this will use Google's default marker symbol.

Note. Formigo Directions can only be used once per page, and does not display a map whilst in edit mode.
