Slider - make whole images a link

Permalink Browser Info Environment
Hiya,

It would be great to be able to make the whole slider viewable area a link. This would include full images or images and the text.

Cheers,
Stuart

is it possible to do that ?
It seems absolutly necessary ! because we can use it to link with news or other link outside website.

thank you very much for your work.

Hi Jeff

The plan with the slider is that we'll be redeveloping from the point we can see a 5.7 beta release. 5.7 will use a new editor 'redactor' and though TinyMCE will still work, we'd like to get the add-on working with the new editor too.

At this point we'll look at the whole image link. I know this is later than planned, but it makes sense to visit this once.

I was able to link the image but only using the HTML editor. Instead of uploading, I pointed to the image file using the editor then I attached a link to it. Unfortunately, this doesn't really work as well as I'd like because it doesn't show the image in full size. In the settings, you have to choose your template and need to use the full text setting as the others don't work/don't work as well if you're not uploading the image. Would love to see this updated to give the option to set a link for the image.
