Can the thumbnails be resized?

Anyone know if it's easy to resize the thumbnails with the Galleria block?
Ideally, I want a gallery like Galleria but where I can have two rows of four rectangular images, rather than little square ones.
If it's tricky with this block, I'd be interested in hearing recommendations.
The crucial functionality is that I want people to be able to click the thumbnail to change the main image. I don't want to open up an image in a lightbox-style modal window.
There are so many (too many?) galleries out there!
