Change the amount of thumbnails shown

The settings allow for a specific amount of thumbnails to be shown, i have changed my view.php to show 2 columns rather than 3, how do you change it to show 8 thumbs instead of 9?

Thanks, that works great.
The $playback variable pulls from the dropdown values located in form_setup_html.php around line 84 - <select name="playback" style="vertical-align: middle"> should you want to keep the 'No of Images to Show per Page' setting.
and you can replace it with any number - 8 for example:
