Retrieving image custom attributes

Hi All!
We are working on a gallery based solution where we want viewers to be able to click on button and purchase the image currently being viewed.
The sequence is this
- The customer views the image
- The customer clicks on an image link to purchase
- The customer is taken to the Ecommerce page for the purchase
Each image file includes a custom attribute which is the Ecommerce Item ID
Within the Gallerific we want to
- fetch a reference to the image being viewsd
- Retrieve the ECommerce product id from the image custom attribute
- Link to the ECommerce page for that image
We would be very grateful to understand how to retrieve the current image + image attributes from Gallerific
