Feature request: sort option for galleries in the dashboard

Permalink Browser Info Environment
Currently, Grid Galleries in the dashboard are always sorted by handle, descending. This is ok for getting quick access to the lastest galleries, but if we have a larger amount of galleries, it would be very handy if we were able to manually sort galleries by name. Sort order by handle, descending, could still be the default sort order when the dashboard page is opened.
While of course we can use the search function, it requires that we remember the name of the gallery we are searching for, which is not always the case, especially if we have many galleries. A sort order by name would enable us to make use of intelligent naming for galleries, in order to kind of group them and find them more quickly.

Thank you,
Michael

Hi,
The concrete5 already comes with the ability to sort files in a set.
Dashboard > File Sets > [Your Set]
Then click on the table headers and "Save".

Yes, i know that. But i don't mean the sort order of images inside a file set, but the sort order of Grid Galleries created in the dashboard /dashboard/files/whale_grid_gallery.
The galleries are only sorted by handle, descending, without option to sort them by their names.

After sorting your images at the File Set section, you can reload the images at Grid Gallery (by changing the combo box value once), and get images predicated on newly sorted values.

Thanks for the quick reply, but as i said, i don't mean the sort order of images/files, but the sort order of Grid Gallery 2 galleries on the dashboard. Please see sceenshot of the related dashboard page on my development site.

Sorry for the misunderstanding!
Sure, I will consider this for upcoming versions.
Thanks for the suggestion.
